Overview

Enhance Story Description is an inline AI action available inside the Story Detail view. It takes your existing story description and uses Monty to expand and improve it — adding clarity, structure, and completeness — without leaving the story page.

The enhancement button is disabled when the description is outside these limits.

Steps

1Open the Story Detail view for the story you want to enhance
2Ensure the story description has at least 20 characters and 5 words
3Click the Enhance with AI (✨) button next to the description field
4Monty generates an enhanced version — a preview of the result is shown alongside the original
5Review the enhanced description — a note at the bottom reads: "AI can make mistakes. Please validate all the generated content."
6Choose an action:
  • Copy to Clipboard — copies the enhanced text without changing the story
  • Replace Description — replaces the story's description with the enhanced version
7The token count consumed by this enhancement is shown at the bottom of the result

Troubleshooting

The Enhance with AI button is disabled

The description must be at least 20 characters and 5 words, and no more than 1,000 characters or 250 words. Check the character and word count and adjust accordingly.

The enhancement makes the description worse

Use Copy to Clipboard instead of Replace Description, then manually pick the parts you want. Alternatively, add more specific context to the original description and run the enhancement again.

I replaced the description by mistake

Use the browser's undo shortcut (Ctrl+Z / Cmd+Z) if the field is still active and in edit mode, or find the previous description in the Story activity history if changes have been saved.
