Monty — Sprint & Planning

Monty AI Assistant

Current sprint health

Get a snapshot of where the active sprint stands:

"Show me the current sprint."
"What is the status of this sprint?"
"How many points are left in the sprint?"

Monty returns the sprint name, dates, total and remaining story points, open defect count, and story count by status.

Project health check

Ask for a whole-project readout, not just the current sprint:

"What is the project status?"
"How is the project doing?"

Monty leads with a verdictOn Track, Needs Attention, or At Risk — and a one-line reason. It then covers the current sprint's risk flags (unassigned stories, missing QA, blockers), the last five sprints' delivery trend, and any stalled backlog. Lifetime completion totals come last, as context rather than a current signal.

The first time you ask for a status or report, Monty asks whether you want results as a visual dashboard or as plain text, then remembers your choice.

Stalled stories

Find stories that have not moved in a while:

"Show me stalled stories."
"Which stories are stuck or blocked?"

Monty returns stories that have stayed in the same status for an extended period, sorted by how long they have been stalled.

Browse sprints

"List all sprints in the project."
"Show me sprint 14."
"What stories were in the last sprint?"

Sprint planning

Add a story to a sprint

"Add story 837 to the current sprint."
"Add story 42 to sprint 14."

Remove a story from a sprint

"Remove story 42 from the sprint."

Check team workload

"Who is on my project team?"
"What is Sarah working on this sprint?"

Daily standup prompts

Use these before your standup to get a quick picture of the sprint:

"Hey Monty, give me a standup summary — current sprint progress, stalled stories, and open blockers."
"Are we on track to finish the sprint?"
"Which stories moved to Done since yesterday?"

Troubleshooting

No current sprint found

A sprint must be started in Silverile before Monty can show it. Open the Sprints page in Silverile and start the sprint, then try again.

Story can't be added to a sprint

Verify the story number and that the sprint is active or planned. Backlog stories can be added to a planned or started sprint.

Stalled stories shows an empty list

If all stories have been updated recently, none will qualify as stalled. Check the sprint board directly if you expect blocked items.
